They did not want to stop. No breaks. No early departures. Just hungry people leaning forward, taking notes, asking questions , in Kigali, Rwanda, something rare happened. A community encountered the health message and the gospel together, and they could not get enough.

When we arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, we came with a simple mission: unite health and the gospel in practical, life-changing training. What we did not anticipate was how profoundly that message would land. Over ten days, across two venues and sixteen to eighteen training sessions, we witnessed what happens when communities discover that God’s design for the body and His plan for the soul are not separate things. They are the same message.

This is a report for everyone who prayed for this trip, supported it, and believed with us that health ministry is gospel ministry. What God did in Rwanda deserves to be told.

What Health and Gospel Training in Rwanda Actually Looked Like

Our team held meetings at two separate venues in Kigali. During the day, we trained Seventh-day Adventist members and church leaders, equipping those who already carry the health message with deeper tools and greater confidence to share it. In the evenings, we opened the doors to the wider community, and they came.

My wife Denise led the health training with extraordinary skill and compassion. She taught on hydrotherapy, walked participants through the eight laws of health, and introduced the community to something that stopped people in their tracks: how to understand the language of the body. She taught them to read what their own bodies are communicating; a practical, eye-opening tool that connected immediately with everyday people seeking real answers for their families.

While Denise anchored the health sessions, I taught the gospel, showing participants how Christ-centered living and physical wellness flow from the same source. Together, the training created something neither could achieve alone. Consequently, participants left each session not just informed, but transformed in their understanding of what whole-person health truly means.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

— 3 John 1:2 KJV

A Community That Refused to Stop

Here is what you need to understand about what happened in those rooms. These were not passive attendees. They did not check their phones. They did not drift toward the exits when sessions ran long. Instead, they stayed. They pressed in. They asked for more. In sixteen to eighteen sessions across ten days, this community never lost its hunger.

That kind of response does not happen by accident. It happens when people finally hear something that answers questions they have carried for years. The connection between how they eat, how they sleep, how they move, and how they walk with God was not abstract theology to them. It was immediately, practically, personally relevant. Furthermore, many participants left equipped to bring this knowledge back to their own families and neighborhoods.

The Invitation That Changed Everything

Before we left Rwanda, something happened that confirmed this work is only beginning. A Sunday minister, leading a congregation of over 20,000 members, personally invited us to return and train their entire congregation in both health and the gospel. Twenty thousand people. One invitation. One open door that only God could place before us.

Moreover, the communities we served have invited us to return twice per year on an ongoing basis. This is not the end of a mission trip. It is the beginning of a sustained, deepening relationship with the people of Rwanda; a relationship built on the most powerful combination we know: the health message and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

— Matthew 9:37-38 KJV

Why This Work Depends on Your Support

Trips like this do not happen without people who believe in the mission. Every training session in Kigali, every evening meeting, every moment Denise stood before a community and taught them to understand the language of their own bodies, all of it was made possible by supporters who gave, prayed, and said yes to this work.

We are now preparing to return. A congregation of 20,000 is waiting. Communities across Kigali have asked us to come back. Therefore, we are asking you to consider standing with us for the next chapter of this mission. Whether through prayer, financial partnership, or sharing this story with someone who needs to hear it as your involvement is not peripheral to this work. It is essential to it.

Rwanda showed us that the world is hungry for exactly what Forerunner Chronicles carries. The health message and the gospel, taught together, with clarity and love, changes everything. As a result, we are more committed than ever to taking this integrated message wherever God opens the door.

This was very inspiring to read. The invitation to train a congregation of 20,000 people is incredible and shows how God opens doors when the health message and the gospel are presented together in such a practical way.
